I was a little nervous about taking the wild child....

But all turned out well....

We were able to squeeze in some family time

And best of all, got to watch another great bowl win by our MSU Bulldogs!!!!

October Beach Trip

We took a beach trip to Fort Morgan at the end of October this year, and OMGoodness! We had such a good time..... Our friends, Adam and Melissa Davis were so nice to open their beach home up to a crew of us! :) The weather couldn't have been more perfect!

And, let's admit, there's just nothing better than beach pics!!!

The weekend was filled with good friends......

....... and of course with 6 boys, lots of beach football

......... and an overdose of rough-housing to say the least....

...... but somehow the girls survived.. :)

....... the men spent the day fishing.......

.......while the mom's took it all in from our beach chairs.... ( with maybe a frozen mojito or two:).......

It was pure heaven........

Annual Punkin' Patch Trip

The obligatory picture showing how much they've grown......

The tire swings were a new fun addition......

How stinkin' cute is this? :)...........

I can't help but wonder how many more years they are gonna want to do this....... makes me sad to think about it really.....

This one at least should have several more years.......

Fan Fare

I am so behind on my posts, that I will make this brief and to the point. The following are pics of Fan fare at the start of the season.... The boys had a blast getting to meet some of their favorite players.

Sam with Charles Mitchell....

..... And he loves Jonathan Banks :)

Back to School Prayer

Please watch over my children Lord,

As they begin a new school year......

Keep them safe from harm....

And help them grow in your love and grace......

And help us as parents to show them your ways

Amen.....

PS...... you may want to bestow a little extra patience to this little one's teacher........

She's probably gonna need it :)

Fair Time!

The Neshoba County Fair has once again come and gone. My boys love it so much and their summer isn't quite complete without it. It's such a great place to make memories......

To see the look of pure joy on your children's faces.....

makes all the heat, dirt and sweat......

so worthwile.....

Even the red mud.......

is bearable.....

We are also always thankful for the opportunity to make memories with our extended family. :)

From Uganda With Love

My cousin, Colleen, and her family came for a visit all the way from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas this week. They have a big ole family with 4 kids, and when that was added to my 2, it made for LOTS of noise and LOTS of fun!!

You see, the Jobes haven't always been a rowdy crowd...... This time last year the only children they had were these two sweeties.....

Addy.......

And Jane.......

But in November of last year, they added 2 new additions to their clan.... Joseph, and Matthew. They came to our family all the way from Uganda, and we are so happy to have two new Parkes' to add to the mix......

This was our first introduction to the boys and we had so much fun with them.....My boys really loved them, and let me tell you..... I just couldn't kiss on them enough.....(I'm sure they are already calling me "the Weird Aunt" by now..... :)

I mean, just look at those squishy cheeks!! They are just perfect for kissing.... You too Ben :)

I really didn't understand the whole "overseas adoption" thing when The Jobes first started talking about it.....

but I get it now....

How could something that is such a blessing be so hard to understand?...

I'm telling you, Russ better watch out, cause I just might have to hop on a plane and get me a kid or two more of my own....

That's gonna make him sweat :)

I mean, these kids are rock stars....

They speak with the cutest accents..... and the girls love them.....

Notice all the girls in the background watching them??? Go ahead scroll back up and see that I'm right......

Told ya..... It was that way everytime they went off the dive, of course I didn't notice it till I got home and started editing my pics :)

Starting to see a trend here?......

Nevertheless, the boys are handling it all real well and staying grounded :) They even manage to misbehave occasionally and get into mischief...... just like all normal 3 -4 year old American boys.......

And did I mention that they love their daddy......

Meanwhile Addy and Jane are still as sweet and precious as ever.......

As much fun as they were, I guess I will continue to be happy raising my two boys and will just have to make more of an effort to see the Jobes as often as I can........

I mean, this one's pretty sweet and squishy too :)
