Gator Bowl!!!!

I'm sure everyone knows by now, but Sam got a Gator Bowl ticket for Christmas ( I mean, how could you not know, it was on YouTube, the Jacksonville news and everyone's facebook page) and a bonus of being a parent is that someone had to take him, right????? Well, Russ being the wonderful husband that he is, agreed to stay home with Ben and let me go to Jacksonville...... We had such a good time and made so many wonderful memories.... This trip will definately go down in the books.

The first night we were there, we were able to go out to eat with Thomas. We happened to get seated right next to a Michigan player and his family.... and Sam had a large time yelling "Go State!" and "Michigan stinks!" ( he gets real brave when Thomas is there to defend him:)..... At one point we looked over and he had snuck over and was hiding behind a post that was right beside their table and was using the cowbell app on my phone to ring the bell in their ears...... Seriously, we were lucky to get out of there without incident....

See the guy at the table behind them? That's where he got the idea...

The next day, we woke up to a Gorgeous morning, and crossed the bridge to explore Jacksonville and enjoy the Gatorbowl festivities

...... and of course, buy every gaudy, obnoxious MSU relic we could find......

We also turned into stalkers while we were there, with the help of Twitter, we found out that the team was in town for a banquet and decided to camp out there and see the team on their way out.....

Patiently waiting for the team....

His patience paid off and he was able to get "high fives" from most of the team...

Later that day at the parade.... Sam and bully reached for each other like long lost buddies....

All dressed up for the New Years Eve party.....

Ready to cheer on them Dawgs!

We had great seats.... they were high, but were right on the 50 yard line...

During the game, Sam had a strategy.... When we were on offense, Sam would wear his MSU baseball hat and when on defense, his MSU feather skull cap.....

Musta been somethin' to it cause we won.... BIG TIME!!!!

After the game, the whole team lined up on the 36 yard line..... such a tribute... a real class act.

Sam with his favorite Bulldog....

With Thomas' help, Sam was able to get several of the player's autographs..... He was one happy little boy.....

Here he is with Purnell McPhee....

Cameron Lawrence.....

Chris Relf!......(the MVP of the game, btw)

Chris White......

Perfect ending to a perfect day for a 7 year old boy.....
